Secure in the knowledge we are all well versed in Te Whάriki the bicultural curriculum which we use to develop an understanding of the cultural heritages of both partners of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
How do we do this?
We strive to develop a child’s inner love of learning by focused attention to their individual needs. We offer above recommended adult -child ratios with 80% + qualified teachers.
An inquiry based curriculum around children’s interests with Individual Learning Journals as documentation.
Use of natural materials; cooking; growing own vegetables and fruit. Children will be involved in preparation of morning and afternoon tea and other real life skills developing a sense of working in a community of learners.
We also provide a separate Baby area that allows the infant to have peaceful learning opportunities. This in a small home like setting.
